2 patients diagnosed with monkey pox get clean bill of health

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 15 new cases of monkeypox in nine states and the federal capital territory. The NCDC says that 60 new suspected cases were reported in the first week of this month.

A shortage of a smallpox vaccine, used to treat the current outbreak of monkeypox, prompted the move by the EU drugs regulator. The temporary injection method will allow five times more people to be treated.
