Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is stepping down as chief executive of the company. He will be replaced by the current chief technical officer, Parag Agrawal, Twitter said. Mr Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, has been serving as chief executive of both Twitter and payment firm Square.
This week, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey announced he was stepping down as CEO, and named Parag Agrawal, the company's chief technology officer, as his replacement. Agrawal has played a key role in driving the "re-acceleration" of Twitter's growth and helped oversee its fledgling cryptocurrency initiatives and machine learning efforts, a possible nod to why the Indian-American may have been the top choice for the CEO position.
The electric vehicle maker Tesla looks set to open its first European factory in the coming weeks. The company has just thrown a party to win more public support — a final permit for the plant near Berlin has not yet been granted.
