Nigeria’s election security preparedness ahead of 2019 elections

A security alert from the U.S Embassy and consulate in Nigeria has noted that the Islamic State West Africa and Boko Haram have stated plans to disrupt Nigeria's upcoming elections by attacking infrastructure and places of gathering such as markets, hotels, and malls.
