Brexit trade deal appears ‘unlikely,’ says EU’s Michel Barnier

The European Union's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier says Britain has failed to engage, with two key issues proving particularly troublesome to resolve. The UK now faces a real risk of quotas and tariffs, he said.

After beginning a strike one week ago, the United Auto Workers union has increased the number of plants affected by industrial action. Until now, workers have been striking at three sites, one each for Ford, General Motors and Stellantis.
