Nigerian biker rides from London to Lagos in anti-polio drive

Nigerian biker Kunle Adeyanju rode for 12,000 kilometres and through 13 countries to raise funds towards eliminating polio. He also spent time sensitizing communities along the way from London to Lagos about the disease. The World Health Organization declared Nigeria polio free in 2020, but there have been two vaccine-derived cases reported since then.

A helicopter crashed into a building in the Oba Akran Ikeja area of Lagos State and burst into flames on Tuesday. Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened at about 3:30 pm.Though two people believed to be the pilots of the helicopter were rescued, it is not clear how many passengers were on board. Lagos Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa visited the site, on Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, where a light aircraft crash landed.
