‘Hell’: transgender woman describes prison in Cameroon

Cameroonian social media celebrity Shakiro has described how she and fellow transgender woman Patricia were put in chains during the five months they have spent in prison. They were released on Friday pending an appeal against their five-year sentences for "attempted homosexuality".
