Civilians killed in ‘terror attack’ in Burkina Faso, government reports

The mass killing was carried out by a "terrorist group" the government has said in a statement. Violence in the West African country has surged recently as the fight against militants shows no signs of abating.

Darul Salam has now been designated a terrorist group by the Nigerian military authorities. 410 members of the group surrendered to security forces in Uttu in Nasarawa state after the exchange of gunfire.
