Months after the Trump administration rejected her, former Nigerian finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala received a unanimous backing to become the first woman and first African director-general of the World Trade Organization.
As director-general, Okonjo-Iweala will need to broker international trade talks in the face of persistent U.S.-China trade conflict; respond to pressure to reform trade rules. GuardianTV spoke with Cheta Nwanze, Lead Partner, SB Morgen on what this means for world trade.
