Here are Nine influential monarchs deposed in Nigeria. The reasons for their dethronement are being at loggerheads with the power that be, particularly the government which often leads to official pronouncements of dethronement, self-exiled to avoid abduction or sometimes removal by court injunctions that eventually order the king to vacate the throne.
