Amazon to launch first drone delivery service in California

Amazon says it will launch a drone delivery service this year in Lockeford California. The community of over 3,500 in population will be the first in the U.S to start receiving package deliveries by drone and will also enjoy free drone delivery within 30 minutes.

E-commerce giant Amazon will continue to accept UK-issued visa credit cards on its British website. The company emailed customers on Monday with the update. Back in November, the retail giant took the controversial step, saying it would ban the use of Visa credit cards because of high transaction fees. Since Brexit, the EU's enforced-cap on the fees charged by card issuers no longer applies in the UK.

The death toll from Madagascar's latest cyclone rose to 29 on Tuesday (February 8) as residents of a devastated coastal town tried to fix their homes or build temporary shacks from wood and palm fronds scattered by the violent winds. Cyclone Batsirai slammed into the Indian Ocean island late on Saturday, battering the southeastern coastline until it moved away late on Sunday, leaving 91,000 people with damaged or destroyed homes, according to the state disaster relief agency.
