2018 most downloaded app on Apple

Apple has released its 2018 most downloaded apps. YouTube, the world’s largest digital video hosting platform came first beating Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. In 2017, Instagram and Snapchat were the most downloaded app on ios but have fallen to second and third positions respectively.

The glitch triggered by an update on servers went on long enough to remind us how much we put our lives in the hands of a single social media behemoth. In DR Congo, a photo of Joseph Kabila has been circulating with the claim he stood alongside the former head of the rebel group ADF, which has links with the Islamic State group.
