Asa drops the video of 'Eyo', a Lagos themed single off her latest album, Bed of Stone.

Unarguably the biggest and most colorful traditional event in Lagos, the Eyo Festival took place last Saturday and the popular Eyo Masquerades came all out in their full spectacle- white regalia, colourful hats and unique staff, to thrill Lagosians and pay homage to the Oba of Lagos.

Franco-Nigerian singer Asa breaks five-year hiatus with 'Lucid'.

Asa took fans down memory lane in Berlin when she sang classic from her first self-titled album, Asa. She played to a room packed full of an audience at the Haimathafen Neukoln hall on one of the stops of her 2020 European tour.⁣⁣

Her distinctive blend of pop, folk, soul, jazz and reggae has become a firm favourite at home in Nigeria, and a regular on the radio here in France. Asa joins us from the studio in Lagos to tell us about writing and recording her fifth album as the world came to a shutdown. She tells us how reconnecting with nature created an uplifting mood on the album “Five”, and how she found inspiration through spontaneous, convivial collaborations with musicians like Whizzkid, Amaarae and The Cavemen.
