French author Annie Ernaux wins 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature

The Nobel prize in literature has been awarded to Annie Ernaux “for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, estrangements and collective restraints of personal memory”.

Throughout the day we read and see stories of destruction, cruelty, pain and suffering. French author Cyril Bruyelle decided to take a trip around our planet, armed with 20 questions and a determination to ask as wide a range of people as possible to respond to them, from past presidents to pastors. The goal: to get a real view of the world as humans see and feel it; to find out whether it's a predominately cruel or kind place to be. He concluded that we have much more in common than we think.
