How resilient is the remittance market to the COVID-19 shock?

Amsterdam based online remittance service provider Azimo says it has entered into a partnership with China's Alipay. Azimo says despite the World Bank's projection of a 23 per cent decline in remittances in 2020, figures from its operations in Nigeria show a 20 per cent increase, while the number of transfers to bank accounts doubled during the COVID-19 lock-down period.
